In 2010 the Charlotte DeSoto Building Industry Association voted Truex Preferred Construction "2010 Builder of the Year".
Truex Preferred Construction is frequently featured in the business press. In November of 2006 the Sun Newspaper announced a 30 min. Fox TV program featuring our company. We were the only builder in our area selected based on their criteria to be most innovative, creative, quality driven and for positive interactions with our customers.

In October 2006 Truex Preferred Construction was honored by receiving the “Nova Award” from the Englewood Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce. The criteria for the “Nova Award” are as follows:
- Commitment to honorable business practices
- Innovative products, valuable services, company growth
- Initiative / creativity enhancing their particular business / profession
- Show positive response to adversity
- Strives to increase stability, improvement of the community
- Demonstrates support of the goals of the chamber
- Member in good standing of the Englewood-Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce
- Located in service area of Englewood-Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce
In 2008 Truex Preferred Construction was honored by receiving the "Excellence in Business Award".
